reread jasnah’s philosophical lesson again like it’s so wild. shallan is showing express signs of anxiety and stress and jasnah is like it’s probably your schooling why don’t you study something different like philosophy in fact let’s go on a field trip and shallan is like if you say so brightness and jasnah leads shallan to four would be thieves/murderers in the dead of night and brutally kills them right in front of her and then calmly asks her to consider the philosophical implications of the death penalty and jasnah does all of this just bc shallan seemed a little tense i love the way of kings
