I reblogged this already but you know what makes me so happy when I see these kinds of cards?

It’s not targeted at Millenials, or even Gen X’s. They tend to buy cards only for birthdays/anniversaries/Christmas, if ever. They’d send a text or email or even call to say they support your coming out/transition. No, this is likely aimed at elderly grandparent types who don’t “get” the internet and communicate exclusively through cards that they send for every occasion imaginable. The fact that “loving and accepting grandparent whose grandchild just came out to them as trans” is considered a viable enough market to print and sell cards like this suggests that more older people are accepting their trans/LGBT+ kids, and that really gives me hope for future generations of LGBT+ kids.
